Rihanna stunned London Fashion Week photographers when she attended at a Stella McCartney event wearing a silky, floor-length gown that showed off her gorgeous gam in a super high slit. She accessorised with layers of gold necklaces and bangles, and strappy gold heels. We love it! She looked gorgeous in her slinky green wrap dress which broke all the tradition rules with a plunging neckline, tantalisingly low back and high slit. It worked beautitully! This is perfection!

Dame Judi Dench, one of the world's best actesses just announced that she was diangosed with macular degeneration and that she could completely lose her eyesight. Judi is best known for playing M in the James Bond series and has recieved an Academy Award, two Golden Globes, a Tony, and she's a Dame! She's awesome! Judi described how her eyesight is now so bad that she has people read her scripts to her, “I can’t read scripts any more before because of the trouble with my eyes. And so somebody comes and reads them to me, like telling me a story.” We can't even imagine what that must be like, especially when you are actor! Right now Judi is working on promoting her newest film, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, which is about a group of British seniors who retire to India. It stars Dev Patel (from Slumdog Millionaire), Maggie Smith (Harry Potter), Bill Nighy, and Tom Wilkinson. It looks really cute and we can't wait to see it. Also, look out for Judi in the newest James Bond movie that comes later this year.

“I love London! I love the Queen!” said Rossella Jardini before yesterday’s Moschino Cheap & Chic show. The Creative Director of the Italian brand was offering her reasons for debuting the fall collection in London, a first for the Italian brand. Had she refused to answer, it wouldn’t have been hard to see why.  The fall collection featured more pink than most spring clothes, with colorful prints of lips, eyes, and makeup splashed across skirts and dresses all linked together with glittered pink lips, big hair and heavy dose of whimsy.  “There is a link between the Cheap and Chic world and the British culture,” said designer Francesca Rubino.  “The sense of humor basically. And irony! We love irony.” So ladylike skirts and dresses came paired with crocheted sweaters and multi-colored fur coats.  “A respect of tradition and yet their fashion’s a bit transgressive—this, we love,” said Rubino.  The designer said the organza dresses were her favorite, but we’d bet on seeing quite a bit of those printed silk skirts next September. Victoria Beckham at Harvey Nichols on Friday. Photo: Getty Images “When I had to walk the red carpet for War Horse, I had a rail of dresses to choose from, and I knew right away that the Victoria Beckham was the one was for me,” said 15-year-old budding starlet Celine Buckens.  The actress was just one of many fans who showed up to Harvey Nichols on Friday night to celebrate the retailer’s collaboration with “Victoria by Victoria Beckham.” Beckham had much to celebrate thanks to her successful showing at New York Fashion Week.   Both of her collections were well received, winning praise from even the most cynical fashion editors—not to mention the buyers.  The latter from both Harvey Nichols and Net-a-porter tell us that the Victoria line is selling at a fast clip. Celebrating with her at the cozy dinner were Roland Mouret, Anya Rubik, Irina Lazeneau, Gordon Ramsay, Charlotte Dellal, and Olivia Palermo, as well as the designers’ parents, sister and niece.  (David, unfortunately, must have been at home with the kids.)  Tables buzzed about the astonishing success of the secondary line, one that despite aiming in a different direction is quickly becoming a red carpet favorite. “The Victoria line speaks to my younger customer,” Beckham said.  She added that it’s also “something that would appeal to those buying the ready-to-wear. It has allowed me to experiment with silhouettes, colors and prints and I am enjoying the opportunity to spread my wings a bit.” As for what comes next, it sounds like the designer could use a break.  “I have been completely focused on this for so much time now it felt there was a lot at stake when we showed in New York,” she said.  “So it is such a relief to see how well it has all been received.”

The inspiration for Jenny Packham’s sultry, sequined collection of red carpet-worthy gowns was film noir. For up-and-coming actress Taylor Schilling, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect: “I just started watching all of these Hitchcock movies for the first time—last night I watched Rear Window,” she said. The late-night movie watching may have made waking up for the early morning show a bit difficult, but judging by her glamorous updo and retro-inspired beaded top, she may have found inspiration from Hitchcock’s blonde heroines. “I think I’m in Grace Kelly Land, I think that’s what’s happening,” admitted Schilling. “That kind of [movie], it’s so dramatic, you can really sink into a different world. Whether it’s fashion or telling a story in a film, with film noir it’s a fantasy.” In addition to her elegant looks, Schilling has also landed the leading man—at least, on-screen: In the coming months she’s playing Zac Efron’s dream girl in The Lucky One (based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks, he of The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and Message in a Bottle fame) and Ben Affleck’s wife in Argo. Who was her first celebrity crush? “If we’re going to be really honest, I used to watch Grease a lot!”

The most common refrains heard when photographers swarm during Fashion Week is, “Who is that?” followed by, “What, exactly, does she do?” But at 3.1 Phillip Lim, the It Girls lining the front row were of the hard-working variety. Both Annie Clark, better known as the singer-songwriter St. Vincent, and Oh Land took a break from recording to attend the show alongside Gia Coppola, who’s been busy shooting videos for fashion brands like United Arrows. In fact, Oh Land has found her Phillip Lim 31 Hour bag quite useful when it comes to toting things in and out of the studio; “I use it all the time—I put my dog in it!” While the Danish musician prefers packing capes when she’s on tour (“It’s really easy to just throw one on and then you don’t have to think about combining a lot of stuff”), when she’s working on new tunes it’s all about light and airy pieces. “I feel like I need to wear loose clothes when I’m recording, and I can’t wear any jewelry, because I need to feel free. So I usually wear really big shirts with flower prints or something that reminds me of freedom,” she explains. Coppola also stays away from overly fussy pieces while working. “You need comfortable shoes because you’re standing all day—definitely not [heels],” she noted. And don’t expect to see her in the same leather pants she wore to the Lim show; as she explained, “I don’t wear leather that often—there’s definitely a time and a place, you need to be at the right event.” But of the three, no one has embraced easy dressing like Clark. “I read once that Albert Einstein picked out one outfit and just stuck with it, and I tend to do that—my style is Einsteinian,” she said, laughing. “I’ve been wearing these Phillip Lim leather shorts for far too long!” It makes packing for tours easy, since Clark usually just brings “a lot of black, because it doesn’t show when it’s dirty—I kind of have a uniform on tour.” As someone who performs for a living, she has trouble just sitting back and enjoying fashion shows. “I still get nervous—for the models! I’m worried that they’re going to trip,” Clark admits. Luckily for her—and everyone else at Phillip Lim—the show went on without a hitch. Click here to see all the fall shows!
