CORINE & THE SECRET SHOES

Her mother stood up and stared at her with a terrifying look full of anger: 

"This is no joke Corine, if your father is back and gave you those shoes, it's because you are in danger!" Corine's mother walked to the bookshelf that was next to the chimney, moved a couple books and took out a gold wooden box. She gave the box a kiss on the lock and the box open, letting out a blinding light. Her mother took a gold necklace decorated with pearls and sapphires. 

"You might not believe all of this right now, but at least if you wear this you will be protected. This necklace is a family charm. It was Tiana's necklace, the very first wingless fairy." Corine put on the necklace and stared at it for a couple minutes in silence. 

"So... This is real? Like, real sapphires and a real magic necklace?" asked Corine still unsure of everything.

Suddenly, a dark-blue smoke took over the room. "Oh yes it's real, more real than you think. Hello Darcy, you look just as beautiful as the last time I saw you..." Tt was the shoe-shop man. 

"Elton? Is... is it really you?" asked Corine's mother. 

"Yes, my dear, it's me. I'm here to save our daughter."

"Elton, I haven't seen you in years..." said Corine's mother to the shoe shop man. 

"I know, but I've seen you... I've been looking out for you and our daughter. I've missed you Darcy." said the man while taking the woman in his arms. Corine was confused, standing still with the necklace in her hands. 

"Corine, I want you to meet your father... Elton White." said Darcy to her daughter.
