Although it can differ from country to country, here in the UK as well as many others Mothering Sunday falls on the 15th of March this year.
Of course, almost everyone reading this post who is lucky enough to have a mother figure in their life knows them better than I do; but even still it can be difficult to find the perfect present for her. I’m writing this post to aid those people who really have no idea on what to get their mother this year, of course this is not rules- just some suggestions for if you are stuck!

1. Make her breakfast in bed
This is an inexpensive and luxurious treat that most people (especially those who are not morning people) would love!

2. A designer handbag (or other accessory)
Although usually more expensive, this is an unusual present that any fashionable mother would adore.

3. A day trip together eg. Spa Day
Mother's day is about spending time with your Mum- so why not do that somewhere that you can both enjoy yourselves? 

4. A bouquet of flowers
Flowers are a classic gift given to a woman for one main reason- they are incredibly ascetically pleasing. If you want to make this a more unique gift you could try dying the flowers funky colours by placing them in water mixed with food colouring.

5. An item that applies to their hobbies
Is your mother interested in photography? Perhaps buy her a new lens. Have a mother who is interested in horse gardening? Maybe some new gardening tools could be useful to her.
Of course, you yourself might have a better idea of what she might need in terms of her hobby.

6. Cosmetics and Skincare items
I tend to avoid anti-aging creams and things that could be seen as offensive, but perfume is a near fool-proof gift for your mother as long as you know what she likes.
