A cat eye is probably my fave beauty look of all time, and luckily for me it seems to be on trend at the moment! Seen recently on runway shows from big names like Gucci and Marc Jacobs, the cat eye is proving once again that it is truly a timeless style! Here are my tips for creating this look.

(Please excuse my eyeshadow skills here- I work on a laptop, and makeup without a mouse is hard to do!)

Be confident- not afraid!
The key to big eye makeup is wearing it with confidence. You don't want your makeup to start wearing you! Current cat eye trends reflect the bigger is better mentality- long wings, thick lines. If this is a look you'd like to try, I'd suggest making it the focal point of your makeup look. Cat eye makeup is sleek and filled with drama, so it's pretty hard to upstage! Go big, go bold, go beautiful.

Pop your colours!
While the classic cat eye look features thick black eyeliner scraped out into pointed wings, it's totally fine to experiment! I combined purple and white eyeliner for the look above, but there are hundreds of potential colour combinations you could try. Why not break out the colour wheel and see what you can come up with?

If at first you don't succeed...
While cat eyes are pretty easy to create here on Stardoll, they can be a total pain in real life! I sometimes get one eye perfect., then mess the other one up, and have to add more eyeliner. Then I have to redo the other side to match, mess it up, add more eyeliner, and repeat until my tube runs out! Okay, it isn't usually that bad, but it can be a problem, especially when you're first experimenting with eyeliner. The best strategy is to practice- you'll get there one day!
