What's it all about ...
When her tiny country is invaded, Princess Rosalinda (Demi Lovato) is placed in the Princess Protection Program -- a kind of royal version of the Witness Protection Program run by a secret group of aristos. Rosalinda is whisked off to America where her survival will depend less on royal etiquette and more on learning how to behave like a normal teenager.
Luckily her new BFF (well, eventually they get to BFF-dom) and roommate, Carter (Selena Gomez) is there to help Princess Rosie figure out such teen hazards as prom, cute boys, and mean girls. In the process, one of them learns how to be an everyday girl ... and the other finds her own inner princess.
