TV shows - pros and cons
TV shows are a great way to unwind after a long day or when you are bored but you don't really wanna' watch a 2 hour movie or read a book. While there are many good things about TV shows, there are also some downsides. Here are the pros and cons of watching one.
GOOD
They usually have 10-20 episodes per season and some can have many seasons, which can be enough time to get to know characters and their storylines.
BUT
10-20 episodes per seasons may not seem like much- one episode per week, right? But what if you decide to follow 2 shows? How about 5? 10? 10 40-minute episodes per week can be time consuming.
GOOD
Whenever you have some extra time - summer holidays, sick days - you can binge-watch that new show you always wanted to see but never had time and/or patience.
BUT
If it is a long running, popular show, you are bound to have found some spoilers that may ruin the suspense and surprise.
GOOD
Most of shows end their season with a cliffhanger, making you anxious to find out what happened with your favorite characters.
BUT
What if show gets cancelled? You are left with an unresolved story and so many questions that will probably never be answered.
To wrap up, I will suggest some of my favorite TV shows, in case you decide to start watching one!
There is, of course, The Vampire Diaries - do I need to say more? Also Grey's Anatomy, a beautiful medical drama; The Flash, my favorite superhero show (can be really hilarious at times) and Shadowhunters - a fairly new supernatural drama.
Which ones do you prefer?
