Diabetes Awareness with SIZZY10 ♥
This is a post specially requested by SIZZY10, to help raise awareness of both types of Diabetes. Therefore, much credit goes to her for her help with this post.
She says…
“Diabetes type 1 is when the Pancreas allocated in he stomach breaks down and stops producing a hormone called insulin. I suffer from this disease myself.
Diabetes Type 2 occurs mostly in adults; it is usually caused by obesity. Adults with type 2 diabetes usually take medication in tablet form but also insulin injections. Both types of Diabetes can get emotional due to that in the beginning you feel as if life is going to be tough.
Diabetes UK is a large charity, which supports youngsters and adults coping with the illness. Their website gives advice and tips with how to cope with it. Diabetes can be a struggle sometimes, however, if you manage your blood sugars and eat appropriately, life becomes easier. Testing your blood sugars regularly enables you to keep a track if you are in the right levels. My advice to Diabetics is to enjoy life but keep an eye out on your health. Diabetes UK are a supportive charity and have a FB/Twitter page to visit for more support and advice. I’m also prepared to answer questions - just post in my gb!”
Thanks SIZZY10! I will definitely be following the charity to find out more about Diabetes and the effects it has on people – and to give support to those who need it.
