In the business of eyeliner, the 'cat eye' or 'winged eyeliner' is currently considered to be the most popular trend. Thick, black eyeliner is a personal favourite of mine and can be used in both dramatic and casual looks. However, when attempting to achieve this look, many people make the mistake of lining the whole eye in black. And whilst makeup is an expression and we are all free to choose to wear it however we like, this can often make the eye seem smaller or even closed. 

Whenever creating a makeup look on Stardoll or in real life, my essential step is to apply white eyeliner or shadow in the inner corner of the eye. I find that this technique makes the eyes look bigger, more awake, and altogether lifts the eye. This trick is very easy to recreate and only requires a white or light shade for eyeliner or eyeshadow. As always, make sure to select the correct colour for your skin tone.
