Quote of the Week
"Life Is Not Measured By the Number of Breaths We Take, But By the Moments That Take Our Breath Away"
This quote is one of my favorite quotes. It is very inspiring and once in a while I say it to myself whenever I am struck with a tough decision. Sometimes you come across a dillema between something you love and something you have to do. Sometimes people peer pressure you into making choices that you will regret later but that you only made because you wanted to make someone else happy.
When you make a decision, you should be thinking about what makes you happy. Not what your friends are going to think or what they're going to feel like. When it comes to life decisions you should rather be a little selfish, because those decisions are going to be the ones you are going to deal with later on in life.
For example, I today had to deal with a really big dillema. Unfortunately I have to pick a new swim club to go to since my other one is gone due to financial problems. So now I have to decide to either go where everyone else is going to go, or to go wherever I think I'm going to be the happiest or the best in.
Sometimes being what people want you to be doesn't get you where YOU want to be. Because at the end of the day, the choices you make should make you happy and should be made because you wanted them to be made. Don't let the others bias your opinion.
So make decisions that take your breath away, so later in life you can look back at them and think of what a wonderful life you've made for yourself. Do what you love.
Lots of Love,
