Living the Suite Life with Danny!
This post features an interview with one of Stardoll's most talented StarDesign and Suite designing artists ever! Read on to get to know him, and dolls, you're in for a treat!!!
Tell us a bit about yourself!
Hey, I'm Danny for those who don't know and I own two accounts: Aomicchi and AkaiKitsune! There's is no interesting story behind my usernames, oops! I chose Japanese words as inspiration that I love and identify with. If that makes any sense ha-ha!
Share your Stardoll story.
When I first started playing this game I was following the "emo" trend and my rooms were not that good. I had a messy suite and didn't really have eye for decor. (LOL)
Just like people do, my dolls grew up and I started actually trying to put some effort on my rooms. I simply wanted to create a world of its own here, one that people would visit and feel like they could just jump right into it :DWhat are your sources of inspiration?
I use Japan and Asian landscapes as main inspiration as I love how dreamy and magical they are. I also love water element so many of my rooms play with it. I have rooms with waterfalls, rivers, lakes...It's rare to find a room of mine where I don't use anything related to water. :) Also, every room is surrounded by nature. I love to create outside scenes more than inside houses and stuff.
Describe your style!
My style, huh? I don't really know how to describe it. It varies honestly, sometimes I like to dress my doll like a rockstar, sometimes I like to dress it more cute. It also depends on the room, I always try to match both look and room :)
Describe your amazing suites!
When you look around my suite, the first thing that might come to mind is: nature l.over. :) Nowadays, I don't have much time to spend here, I get on and off constantly. But when I have free time to spare and start working on a room, I can be around for like 4 to 6 hours. Every room of mine tells a story and you can only tell by visiting them all.Light or Dark?
I can't really choose between Light or Dark because to me they depend on each other.
Describe your creative process.
The funny thing about my creative process is that sometimes all it takes is me watching some beautiful place / landscape on an anime episode that I love and then I try to bring it to life here. Also, I always try to get creative with the items Stardoll provides us. I use one thing that is meant to be used in a certain way and find a new purpose for it. You may notice it in all my rooms, from using statues to create mountains to using typewriters to create a roof. I have collected countless items, and I'm always buying new stuff so it's hard to tell -- haha!
Who is your favorite suite creator on Stardoll?
My favorite suite belongs to nati221! Since I first laid eyes on her work I was amazed by it! She was one of the people that influenced and inspired me to try and create a better and pleasant suite to visit! I also love Tenaciuos and smgkyk work :) Then I have lots of dolls I love, mostly my friends obviously! I love lSeaFlowerl 's work, her cosplays and looks created with hairdesign are literally to die for! Then Druid, she is very creative and I always love the looks she comes up with - I have a thing for her elf looks hehe :3 There's many others, like Mitzimuzi, he is incredibly creative and always thinks out of the box! One of the things I most love about him :D Then we have Ebinissia and goonies4ver, their scenes are amazing! They have such creative minds and always leave me amazed with their ideas and concepts! Also someone else I truly appreciate is iguana.night, we kinda have the same tastes so there's no way I wouldn't like what he comes up with :) I can't name everyone or it's take forever, but my best friend list shows only creative people I appreciate and adore. ;D
What items do you find most essential for suite creation? For me, the items I use the most are trees, flowers and pools or lakes. These are absolutely essential for my rooms because they give life to it :)
Danny's words of wisdom...My only advice would be: Please instead of wasting time spamming on people's guestbooks without even noticing their work and dolls, you could at least have in count the amount of time and effort some of us put into our rooms. Also, presentations are to be read, they're not there just for show. Thank you!
That's all doll-folks! Danny is man that wears many hats, and of many hidden talents. He can designs, and decorates! His suite count stops at a whopping seventy rooms, with thousands of items collected over the years. Visit his two dolls to see every single, beautifully crafted design and room he has ever worked on for yourselves!Danny loves to live the suite life on his two dolls: Aomicchi & AkaiKitsune
