RedstargalExcitement VS Happiness

The holiday season was over weeks ago, but think back. Was there a certain item you wanted more than anything else? You most likely placed it on your list, if you make one, and on Christmas day, (if you celebrate it) excitedly tore open your present. If you received it, you were most likely excited.
Excitement is when you look forward to something, like a material item or event. That's definitely not a bad thing. The problem is when most people mistake it for happiness. True happiness is eternal, or at least lasts longer than excitement. I'm the first one to admit it - the presents I got? They don't mean much anymore, and it hasn't even been that long. Instead of spending time on your list, you could have been working on having true happiness.Ask yourself this today, are you happy?
