MAC & Milk Gets A New Name

Fashion week mania’s kicked into high gear—invites are arriving, rumors are spreading and Milk Studios is gearing up for its fourth season, except that starting with the spring summer 2012 season it’ll be known as Made, Presented by MAC. Starting in September, the partnership will also benefit from CAA’s sponsorship. Together, they’ll host 37 presentations (which continue to be free of cost to the designers showing at MILK) ranging from Pamela Love’s presentation to Proenza Schouler‘s runway show. WWD reports that MAC has  seven figure budget for New York fashion week, which makes them the biggest sponsor. The brand’s president John Demsey, says the week “hones the craft of our makeup artists and keeps the skill set of our makeup artists at a high level…No brand has the depth of involvement with the fashion brands, and we’re the ‘go-to’ brand for emerging design talent.”
