So Embarrassing
Florida, 2012.
It all started with a game of table tennis (ping pong). My parents and I were under the outdoor games shed at the resort we were staying at. We had planned to go boating that day but due to heavy rain, we decided to play a game of table tennis.
The game was going pretty good, until my dad hit the ball so hard that it bounced away from the table and into the rain. And being the genius that I was, I charged full speed into the rain after it. I didn't make it very far before I did one of those ridiculous cartoon 'banana slips' and fell on my tailbone - hard.
After laying there and getting completely soaked by the rain, I was finally moved back underneath the shed. The pain was slowly subsiding but everyone was making a huge fuss. Before I even had time to blink, the resort's medical team was there. And before I could even say "I'm fine", the ambulance came. THE AMBULANCE.
Long story short, they placed two ice packs on my butt (in front of everyone) and plopped me in a wheel chair. That's not the worst part. One of the cutest guys I ever saw came up to me and was giving me advice on how to care the bruise when I - threw - up - on - his - shoes.
I'm not even exaggerating.
