Move over, Justin Bieber! Selena Gomez has a new date for New Years Eve: fellow teen starlet and longtime BFF Demi Lovato. The two singer/actresses will celebrate 2012 by performing onstage together for MTV’s New Years Special “NYE in NYC 2012,” airing live from the station’s Times Square studio on December 31 at 11 p.m. EST. Teen Wolf heartthrob Tyler Posey will co-host with Lovato at the star-studded event, which will also feature performances by Mac Miller, J. Cole, and Jason Derülo as well as special appearances from Katie Leclerc and Vanessa Marano of Switched at Birth. Sounds like a party! The New Year is a time for fresh starts, and we’re really glad that Selena and Demi decided to reunite for the occasion. Friends since their Disney channel days, they faced a bit of a rough patch when Demi checked into rehab for emotional and physical issues. With these two gals taking the reins, 2012 is looking great already! For those of you who’ve got the Bieber fever, Gomez’s boo won’t be far away—he’ll also be performing in Times Square on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” alongside Lady Gaga, Pitbull, and Hot Chelle Rae.
