Winter may be fabulous for many reasons, but dry skin just isn’t one of them. Hands that feel like sandpaper, peeling around the mouth and nose, and an itchy scalp are all common problems that accompany harsh cold air outside and artificial heat indoors. These tried-and-true products will keep you soft and smooth from head to toe through the rough winter months.
Scalp
Courtesy of Garnier Fructis. Garnier Fructis Dry Scalp Shampoo is strong enough to keep flakes at bay but gentle enough not to strip your hair of the oils that it needs to be healthy. B Vitamins fortify while aloe vera soothes the scalp and it smells like an orange Creamsicle!
Face
Courtesy of La Roche Posay. Exfoliation is key in creating a smooth and moisturized surface, but harsh exfoliates can do more damage than good. Try something that is gentle and soothing like La Roche Posay’s Physiological Ultra-Fine Scrub. It’s recommended for sensitive skin and doesn’t contain harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbing beads.

Moisturizing your face is a must for any skin type so long as you choose the right formula for you. Neurtrogena’s Oil Free Moisture line has a vast range of products with everything from combination skin-specific creams to SPF.
Lips
Courtesy of Tarte. Chapped lips can be a pain and dealing with them is often as easy as picking up a tube of Chapstick at the drustore, but there are great products available that are both super moisturizing and pretty at the same time. The Tarte Lipsurgence lip stain line offers a long-lasting pop of color and a clinically proven 6,000% increase in lips moisture content after 28 days.
Hands
Courtesy of Neutrogena. Hands take a beating during winter months with continuous washing and exposure to the elements, warranting extra care and attention. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream for Dry Chapped Hands is seriously concentrated to target even the toughest dry hands. Just ask the Norwegian fisherman that Neutrogena tested their product on. If it helps them, just imagine what it would do for you.
Arms and Legs
Courtesy of Vaseline. It’s easy enough in the winter to hide scaly arms and legs in clothing, but who wants to feel itchy and uncomfortable underneath all those layers? A better question: Have you ever tried to pull on skinny jeans over lotion-covered legs? Vaseline Sheer Infusion Lotion with Stratys-3 is like no other lotion on the market because it goes on creamy and smooth, but soaks into skin in a matter of seconds with no sticky residue and it keeps skin feeling smooth for hours.
Feet
Courtesy of Burt's Bees. Furry boots and bulky socks may keep feet warm, but Burts Bees Coconut Foot Crème keeps them silky soft from toe to heel. It’s ultra-thick so apply it before bed and pull on a pair of socks and the heavenly coconut cream pie scent will linger long after it absorbs.
