- Mod Muses - The 60’s was the decade that brought us the mini skirt, psychedelic prints and space-age fashion. For this post, I have drawn inspiration from the decade with icons of the time, such as Twiggy, Mary Quant and Nancy Sinatra. This post is also part of a collaboration with fellow Starblogger loz12345, who has a feature with the amazing PiNBALLWiZZARD reflecting 60’s beauty! - Starting with my first outfits, I wanted to use two dresses from the Twiggy doll. Of course, Twiggy is the ultimate pin-up for the 60's mod style, and these dresses do not disappoint. Both inspired by Chloé, the first has a slouchy shape, while the second has a boxier silhouette, as well as a geometric print. - As the first dress has quite a relaxed fit, I paired it with daisy clips in the hair, and some PVC ankle boots for a slight contrast, but also to link to the space-age trend which was introduced by André Courrèges. With the second look, I only added doorknocker earrings as a smaller statement. I think a white turtleneck could also work well layered underneath. - With my last outfits, I chose some even brighter pieces! The orange coat is also from the Twiggy doll- I remember when the doll first came out and I was obsessed with this coat, so I couldn’t resist including it in this post! As it’s such a statement piece, I stuck to simpler pieces. Mary-Janes and knee-high socks are staple items for the 60’s mod look, and again the clear PVC bag works perfectly with the space look. - Carrying on with the space look, for my last outfit I chose this A-line mini dress and go-go boots, which are in this super cool lime green colour! I then added a geometric necklace. A clear PVC raincoat would also work perfectly! - Thank you for reading!
