Have you ever had a holiday that was a disaster?

Having just had a break for the year before school, I feel I am fully prepared to go over the topic of turning a mayday holiday into a holiday to remember.

1. Buckle up for the first tip as I talk about long car rides. There can be some crazy, dangerous and inconsiderate drivers on the road, which is bound to make any driver annoyed. So to keep the car calm, respect the driver. If you don't like the crazy people inside the car, then bring distractions. You can distract yourself- or even better, them.

2. The place you're staying in is beyond horrible. Well, it's not like you can renovate or fix the place you're staying, so get out! No see, no think - if you go out for most of the day and use it as a base camp then you will quickly feel better.

3. The weather is as temperamental as an angsty teen. Yet again, we have come to a problem we cannot exactly fix. The best thing to do is always check weather forecasts and research things you can do before the dreaded bad days come.

4. Time to think about the time. If you put the holidays into perspective, they are usually only a small percentage of your life and once they're over, it will put your home and lifestyle into a good light.
