Wild Florals
Florals are always a staple trend for summer, year after year. With floral suits, applique and clashing prints seen at Gucci and D&G (among many others), it is clear that that trend isn't tiring out just yet. So, for this post I have styled some outfits with a fresh take on this classic trend.
Starting with the looks above, I had to include these leather jackets! The floral embroidery works perfectly in contrast with a typically masculine piece. It would also work on a denim jacket too, or even a satin bomber jacket (popular at Gucci)! Of course, you don't need a ready embroidered jacket, as you can buy a plain one (potentially cheaper), and decorate it yourself - the leather jacket on the centre outfit was originally plain, and I added the corsage, which is a growing trend that I have seen on Stardoll.
My last two looks are a little different, but definitely my favourites. These looks take on a grungier style, with the combat boots, ripped denim, slouchy tops and overall carefree attitude. The floral details are subtle but work perfectly with this look. The boots were inspired by Ashish Spring 2012 and are super cheap and easy to recreate! For patterns to style with florals, I would choose something monochrome like the stripes, or a grid print seen on my first look, to make the colours of the flowers pop.
