Women all around the world, in all industries, are truly making their mark on our generation. From finance to fashion, from medicine to business, women are starting to make bold statements and acheive amazing success.

Speaking of girl power and success, recently the Women Achievers Awards were held in Mumbai, where women from different fields and sectors were recognised for their outstanding works and achievements.

Amongst these talented ladies was Vidya Balan. Now I mention her here because she quite often ends up in the 'worst dressed celebrity' coloumn, however this time credit is due!

In fact, for this event she wore an elaborate organza sari by Sabyasachi. The gold sari featured black embroidery, detailed gold embellishment and black backless top.

We can clearly see how the tradtional sari is revived and resurfaced amongst the younger generation. What a great tribute to the conventional Indian dress!
