Styling Vinyl #9
For this blog post, I have styled some more items from the daily Vinyl releases!
Starting with my first two outfits, I wanted to style pieces from a Versace Spring 2018 look, which was the collection that paid tribute to Gianni Versace on the 20th anniversary year of his death, and also the show where Donatella famously brought out some of the OG supermodels to close the show. This particular outfit was also worn by Lady Gaga in NYC. With the dress, I layered it with a white shirt showing the collar and cuffs for a contrast to the busy print and loud colors, and to tone the dress down a little, I added the oversized black blazer. For more of a statement, add the printed tights. Then, I added some heels in a green color to match the dress, some sheer black socks, a mini bag, headband, and silver hoops. Next, I styled the printed tights and matching heels with a structured white oversized blazer. I then added a black headscarf, white frame sunglasses, and a bag in a similar color to the tights.
For my next outfits, I chose items from a Jacquemus Fall 2019 look. I started off with the white mini bag, and styled it with a cropped overall-style top and loose wide-leg pants, a pair of chunky sneakers and white sunglasses, then a pair of gold hoops to match the hardware on the bag. Continuing with a minimal style, I layered the grey dress with a white lace-up corset top, but a white shirt or t-shirt would also work. I added strappy white heels, a puffy headband an oversized folded clutch bag. For jewelry, you could add a pair of simple gold hoops or a few dainty layered necklaces.
Next, I chose a pair of bright orange lace-covered jeans, which I styled with a cropped tank top. I then chose a Jacquemus bag in the same orange as the jeans, worn over the shoulder. To complete the look, I chose some white strappy Jacquemus mules which have orange bead-like spheres on the heels, a white headband, and a pair of beaded earrings that subtly add more color to the outfit whilst still matching the orange and white theme. If you wanted, you could add the orange over-the-shoulder jacket that was released in Vinyl with these jeans, and carry the bag in your hand instead. For my final outfit, I chose another piece from the bright orange outfit, the shirt, which I layered with a white bralette and styled with a pair of Vetements patchwork-style jeans that have a frayed cut-off hem. You could switch the jeans for a pair of white cycle shorts instead. Next, I chose a pair of chunky white sneakers that have orange detail, and then a bright orange Balenciaga bag with a silver chain strap. To complete the outfit, I added some silver jewelry.
Thank you for reading! What should I style next?
