Starmovie Tips!
A lot of people find Starmovie difficult to use, but if you play around a bit with the tools available then you should be able to create some awesome movies starring your doll and Stardoll friends! My most important tip is to spend a bit of time getting to know how everything works before you start on a movie for real, but I have other tips too- and here they are!
Switch from "Live Rec" to "Timepoint Rec".
By changing the "Live Rec" option beneath the movie editing screen to "Timepoint Rec", you will be able to move things around without the movement recording in your movie. This allows you to have more than one item moving at once, and it's a lot easier to create the look you want this way. Play around with the controls below the movie editing screen in the "Timeline" section to figure out how Timepoint recording works!Use the "Sets" tab!
When you click the "Sets" tab in Starmovie, you'll see all the suite interiors you have bought from the catalogue! Interiors make really great backgrounds for your movie, and can really show the change from one scene to another.
Remember to dress up your characters!
Dressing up your doll and other dolls well in the dressing room can really help set the scene! If your doll changes outfits in the middle of your movie, simply add your doll again at a different point on the Timeline and dress it up again.
Every now and then, and before you publish your movie, watch it the whole way through by resetting the Timeline at 0:00 and pressing play! This will show you if you've made any mistakes. What are your Starmovie tips?
