Marriage Equality has recently had another win in that the USA has legalized marriages between people of the same gender. Marriage Equality is important because it is one of the first steps to help equalize the lives of LGBTQA+ people.
There aren't many countries that have legalized marriage equality but here is a list of those who have:

- Canada: July 20, 2005

- Sweden: May 1, 2009

- Argentina: July 22, 2010

- Brazil: May 14, 2013
- France: May 29, 2013
- Uruguay: August 5, 2013
- New Zealand: August 19, 2013
