Copenhagen Fasion Week:
YDE AW12The work shop of Danish silversmith Georg Jensen in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen created the perfect setting for YDE’s decadent elegance. The audience could see the artisans at work while the models sashayed down the catwalk. The champagne was flowing and the models were wearing sky high Louboutin heels with their well known bright red soles. In other words the surroundings set the standard for an atmosphere that worked perfect with the beautiful clothing.
The show opened with voluminous white ruffles and continued with floor long evening gowns, short dresses, shiny fabrics, lace on lace, fur, silk, organza and wool. Head designer Ole Yde succeeded in demonstrating the mastery of his craft to perfection.
The color palette was held in black, white, gold, silver and deep green and the prints varied beautifully in purple, blue and aquamarine shades respectively. The play with shapes and colors are the dynamics of YDE’s design and he makes working with draping appear to be effortless. This is why he is so adept at creating and such an amazing designer.
YDE’s collection appeals to a wide, but yet exclusive audience.
