Keeping Organised

Keeping organised is important, especially when school/work starts. Here are some handy tips on staying organised.

When using something, put it away as soon as you're done with it. Don't leave it on the table, promising yourself that you'll put it away after your nap. Leaving stuff around means that you're more likely to lose it, so put whatever it is away in a safe spot which you'll remember easily.

Don't always rely on your memory. Write stuff down. When receiving work, write it down in a planner and complete it as soon as possible. I love planners, I can jot down anything I need to do and tick it off when it completed.

Colour coding also helps me stay organised. Red could mean: to do. Green could mean: completed. You can colour code your school books, you can colour code many things.

Don't procrastinate. The longer you wait, the more lazier you become. Complete that homework sheet straight away. Relax after. Do the shopping now. Don't wait until tomorrow. Or the next day. Or the next. Do it quickly.

Donate things you don't need to charity shops. It's always easier to manage fewer items. Go through your bag and throw away that piece of crumpled paper, and that chocolate wrapper. Try not to buy things you don't need. It's okay to treat yourself sometimes, but do you really need that glow-in-the-dark fan? Think about it.

Finally, think before doing anything. It helps a lot. :)
