Stardoll and Random Access Memory
Want to play Stardoll faster? Learn how to manage your RAM.
Before logging in, restart your computer. Rebooting defragments your RAM. Restart or reboot every day.
Don’t have other programs open while playing. This will allot the most possible RAM to your browser. When you run out of RAM your computer freezes, or your browser crashes. On Stardoll you may not be able to save your suite or your scenery. You won’t get any warning. You may run out of RAM if you do too much without saving. Save your work often. (This applies to other programs as well.)
More RAM is better. I started with 1 GB of RAM. I ordered and installed a chip to upgrade to 3 GB. The improvement in speed was amazing. Currently I have 8 GB, which is even better. Each case is different, but at some point you may want to consider upgrading your RAM.
I hope managing your RAM helps you have a better experience. Play safe and have fun.
