Perfect Imperfection: A New Frontier

The meanings of "perfection" and "beauty" are shifting to include more ideas, features, and people - and that's a good thing!

People used to see a "beautiful" person as someone who had a specific body type, clear skin, smooth, wavy hair, and many other features that we do not all possess.  Luckily for me and countless others, that definition is changing, allowing us to begin breaking free from the ideas of the past!

This revolution is partly thanks to the influence of models such as Chantelle Brown-Young, who shines as a model with a skin disease called vitiligo, and Andrej Pejić, who stuns with her androgynous look and style.  Even Cara Delevigne, who is considered one of the most beautiful and inspirational models of our time would have been considered "imperfect" at one time due to her signature bushy eyebrows!

Breaking down the walls of "perfection" in this way can help us all feel comfortable in our own skin, and see our own beauty, even in the parts of us that we don't like so much.

There is no such thing as perfection, because there is beauty in flaws as well as flawlessness!

What "flaws" do you find beautiful?
