Staying Strong
Whenever I talk to friends about mental health problems, weather it be mine or theirs, the phrase ‘stay strong’ appears a lot. What does it actually mean?I know for a start I’m not physically strong; I can’t remember the last time I visited a gym...But when it comes to defecting the troubles that occur in life? That I can have a good go at.I’ve had times in my life where I would have considered myself ‘weak’. Weather it be not eating, self harming, being bullied, having anxiety or more recently, depression - as much as you may feel like it, having a mental health problem doesn’t make you weak, but getting over it certainly makes you strong. We all have the potential to be strong. We can all face our fears and our problems, but we need to do it one step at a time. Things like this can take a while, but in the end we will all be stronger people.
