Anxiety in School
As I have mentioned before, one of the biggest downfalls for me in school was my anxiety, particularly around people. I had some crazy coping strategies; some were really quite terrible. I used to wear a pair of prescription glasses that were pretty extreme and not at all what I needed so that I couldn’t see a thing, therefore couldn’t see people. Now, I have pretty terrible vision because of this, so that’s not so cool.
Despite this, there are lots and lots of strategies that could work! One in particular that really helped me was having a place to go to after I had got into a bad situation. I was able to be alone, think things through, and eventually calm myself down.If you are also experiencing anxiety in school, I would really recommend discussing this with a member of staff because they are there to give you help!
