Hello, dolls!
For a recent extracurricular, it so happened that I had to dress up in a Japnese-inspired costume. Japan is a beautiful country that mixes both modern and ancient aspects of culture, but ultimately, I settled upon a Kawaii-inspired look. Kawaii is a popular aspect of Japanese culture and is commonly associated with being cute or sweet.
Hair: I chose a fun updo for this look, available at Tress Up. Choose a bright or pastel colour to give the hair a Kawaii twist - I chose this adorable peachy-pink.
Accessories: Add accessories such as bows, sunglasses, or anything that is cute or sweet. The store Sunny Bunny in Starplaza has lots of items that are Kawaii-inspired and can be used to accessorize this look.
Makeup: The makeup for this look is glowy, fun and sweet. Use two or more bright colours on the eyes, and make sure you have a dramatic wing! Use a matching eyeliner for a pop of colour on the waterline, and finish with long falsies. Choose a shiny pink for the lips, and make sure that the cheeks are soft and the highlight strong. Add any fun face paint if you wish.
Kawaii-inspired looks are fun, cute and a really exciting aspect of Japanese pop culture. While this look may be a little wild for everyday wear, it's definitely an option for a costume, or you can adapt certain aspects for everyday life. Hope you enjoyed today's beauty look!
