We all know the story. In 1993, American musician and actor Justin Timberlake achieved fame after appearing on Star Search and then joined Disney Channel television series, The New Mickey Mouse Club, where he would meet his future band mate JC Chasez. But those days as a bleached blond in ‘N Sync are over. This hot stuff is now one of the most multi-talented and business-savvy stars in Hollywood.
Thirteen years later, six Grammys, two Emmys, and two solo albums are not enough. Justin launched his successful clothing line, William Rast, in 2005, owns restaurants Destino and Southern Hospitality, both in New York City, a record label, Tennman Records, and a golf course, Mirimichi, in his hometown Memphis, TN. This exceptional A-lister has been sweeping us off our feet for a decade, and now we’re in love. His 2002 debut solo album, Justified, sold more than seven million copies worldwide, his infamous relationship with Britney Spears left him an overwhelming success with ‘Cry Me a River’ (featuring a look-a-like Britney in the music video). In 2006, he released his second solo album, FutureSex/LoveSounds and produced number-one hit singles ‘My Love,’ ‘What Goes Around…/…Comes Around,’ and who can ever forget ‘SexyBack’—a term we now religiously use. And it looks like we’re not the only ones crushing. He is pouring all over the big screen since Social Network and the upcoming Friends With Benefits (with co-star Mila Kunis). Fans worldwide are eating this hunk up, and the media is feeding them. Let’s not forget Justin’s twelfth appearance as guest and host on Saturday Night Live. His appearance with Lady Gaga in SNL’s Digital Short ‘Three Way’ left millions of viewers in tears and laughing uncontrollably. Adding onto his comedic resume is Bad Teacher, premiering Friday, June 24th, with ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz.
A former boy band mate, mogul, and funnyman with a SexyBack smile, what more can we ask for? Let’s just hope Jessica Biel doesn’t snag a co-star role next.
