Protecting Your Manicure
Whether you're going to a salon or simply painting your nails at home, I think it's safe to say we want to protect the finished result! If you want your manicure to last longer, these tips might be helpful.
♡ Water before painting nails is your worst enemy. It causes them to retain liquid and expand. After painted, they are going to shrink, causing the nail polish not to fit anymore!
♡ Despite what people have told you, don't shake the nail polish bottle beforehand! Instead, roll it gently between your palms to prevent air bubles.
♡ Another trick to prevent air bubbles? Don't use one thick coat. Two or three thin coats is much better.
♡ Your top coat is much more effective when the nail polish is still wet! Yep, you heard me right. This allows the top coat to penetrate through the polish, which helps everything bond to the nail bed.
I'm sure you know a thing or two about nails, do you have any tips for us?
