Anne Hathaway looked absolutely ethereal from head to toe when she took a quick break from Paris’ Haute Couture fashion week to head to the countryside for the The White Fairy Tale Love Ball, a fundraiser for The Naked Heart Foundation. Anne grabbed our attention in a gorgeous Valentino gown, but her hairstyle—a stunning, fairy-like ‘do—was positively breathtaking.

The stunning hairstyle, which features a shimmery, silver wreath, was risky, but Anne managed to land just short of costume-y by keeping her locks messy and undone.
We’ve laid out a few easy steps to recreate the style here. Choose a similarly sparkly wreath for an amazing nighttime look, or choose a brighter, flowery wreath for the day. This is definitely a stand-out style, but- hey!- you’re a stand-out kind of girl, right?

1. Use a wave-enhancing product on wet hair when you jump out of the shower, like Sally Hershberger Style Primer for Wavy Hair, to make sure your hair dries with optimal volume.

2. Once hair is dry, use a wide-barrel curling iron to create more loose waves.
3. Leaving a few waves framing your face on both sides, divide remaining hair into three sections as if you were making a braid.
4. Cross left section over the middle and pin into place using bobby pins, then do the same for the right section, keeping everything nice and loose.
5. Top off the look with the key piece, a head wreath,  to complete the unique hairstyle.
