Rachel Bilson was seen out and about with a friend and her beloved Thurmen Murmen yesterday at The Alcove Mall California.

We often see Rachel walking her dogs -- so it was strange to see her struggling so much yesterday!

She got all tangled up in Thurmen's leash and eventually had to take off her shoes and go barefoot -- who knew walking the dog was so complicated.
