Finding A Purpose
Welcome back.
During this difficult time that we are all going through, many of us with mental health problems and/or insecurities etc. have been left alone with our negative thoughts, and are currently struggling to find a purpose. Since we cannot physically meet up with others, I have compiled a list of things you could do that could help you on your journey of finding your purpose.
1. Vote for people on Stardoll for competitions they want to win.
It sounds silly, but your vote could be the vote that helps someone win the title they have been endlessly trying for. This is also good for those who do not have much energy to do a lot -- the future competition winners could have *you* to thank!
2. Leave kind comments on social media.
I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing someone’s thankful response to something I sent them really makes my day. You do not have to go far to spread positivity and feel accomplished within yourself in turn.
3. If you don’t get on with those at home -- maintain some distance from them.
Many of us feel stuck in quarantine due to living with housemates, family or caretakers that spread negativity towards us and leave us feeling low. If this applies to you, avoiding and not communicating with them for a while will leave you feeling strong and proud.
4. Be productive.Your worth is, of course, never measured by your productivity, but if you’re feeling up to it, cleaning or completing some academic work can help you feel as if you have done something for yourself, and have ticked something off the mental ‘to-do list’ so many of us have.
5. Sign up/prepare something for some type of volunteering.
Many organizations are planning in-person volunteering for whenever this crisis is over, as well as online. Some volunteering opportunities/roles may even be available through your school or place of worship. If you meet the requirements, this may really help make a difference to your local community, and help you mentally too.
What do you do to help yourselves find a purpose?
Stay home, stay safe.
